St. Helena

According to legend Helena, the mother of Emperor Constantine, is said to have founded the chapel of Cassius and Florentius (the crypt of the Bonn Minster in modern times).
Out of gratitude people erected a bronze statue in the Bonn Minster in 1668. There is disagreement about the exact date, as well as about the rumour that the statue was cast in Rome for 40 000 Cologne taler.
Most of the time she is shown with a cross., because she is said to have brought it back from her journeys to Jerusalem.
