The Commercial College is located in Radolfzell at the north-western shore
of the Lake Constance (Bodensee) and was founded in 1922. In 1960, the
Commercial College, the Industrial College, and the Agricultural College
Radolfzell were integrated into the new Vocational School Center Radolfzell.
Each college however, remained a separate entity. Today, the Vocational School
Center is attended by approximately 2000 students.
IWB focuses on the continuing training of teachers, students, and employees
as an addition to the initial vocational training the Commercial College
Radolfzell offers. For its activities, courses and seminars IWB uses the
facilities of the Commercial College. IWB's personnel mainly consists of
teachers from the Commercial College which work for IWB on a part time basis.
For some courses and activities IWB also uses to temporarily hire outside
personnel. IWB works closely together with the local industry and companies.
