Resulting from a high intake of some million immigrants - predominantly from the Islamic world - since the 60's of the 20th century the EU has ben exposing its member states in different ways to a new quality of problems. Terms such as assimilation, integration, multiculturalism and ghettoization are generating much public debate. In addition these terms serve as signposts for the immigrants themselves.

- Fact based approach
Lessons will take as their starting point articles on current events from newspapers, magazines or the Internet. Actual examples should be used as a chance to explain comprehensive contexts, the reasons behind the facts and possible effects.
